In co-operation between Norsk Speiderfilatelistisk Gruppe (Spiva-Fil, Norwegian Scout Philatelic Group in Stavanger), Vesterlen Krets av Norges Speiderforbund (Vesterlen district of Norwegian Boy Scouts and Girl Guides Association) and Norway Post, a postal card was produced for the NSF district camp "Suldal - 83". The stamp imprint shows Tofte farm in Dovre. The illustration to the left includes Baden-Powell's drawing of the 1907 Brownsea Island camp. The card reverse is blank.
500 postal cards were printed locally in Stavanger, in blue colour. The red stamp imprint was subsequently recess printed by E. Moestue A/S in Oslo. The postal card was put on sale from 25 June 1983 in the Suldal camp.
The camp did not have any official post office, and no special postmark was used. Mail sent from the camp was cancelled at Suldalsosen post office.
